Bought overseas for our son and shipped over, it was an expensive buy (and also cost a bit to ship half way round the world!) and we have enjoyed having it so much!
This is made by Amazonas- a German company. Check the manufactures site for all details - and as you would expect meets all safety standards and is made by FCS certified wood.
