This book just pops with the art and typography, so probably the busiest, fast, and intricate bebop will work best as background for this read. I'm not quite sure how Hannah selected his nine musicians to bring together - all Titans for sure - and I'm not sure this book will appeal to younger readers or even older ones who aren't music or jazz lovers.

Beautiful, dynamic picture book! Vibrant paintings and wonderful typography. Reads like a song, in fact the whole book just breathes music...

Although the text says Django came from France (probably because nothing rhymes with Belgium), it is corrected in the biography at the end :-)
