Description
Published in 1964 written by Laurence Dunn this book covers the vessels built by Harland & Wolff and Workman Clark & Company in Belfast. There is a brief history of each of the shipping yards given at the begining of the book. The vessels are listed and described over two pages. One of text and the other with a photograph of the vessel. There are a few vessels who traded regularly to NZ given in the ships, Tainui, Waimana, Waiwerea, also ships from Whiate Star (Australian), P & O etc. The photographs of the Waimana is interesting showing her in various guises, including as a dummy warship. 26x19 cm 238 pages. Condition of the book is fair, as there is a water stain on the pages towards the back of the book. Looks like a cup of tea has been spilt. See photo of the index page
