Vol 4: the wire web - the Christchurch Tramway Board and its early electric tramways 1903-1920. 58 pages + route map. Published 1986.

Vol 5: the country commuter - the regional NZR railway network of Canterbury. 80 pages + route map. Published 1988.

Vol 6: the tidal travellers - the small ships of Canterbury. 103 pages + map. Published 1991.

Vol 7: tram to the terminus - the Christchurch Tramway Board and its electric tramways, 1921-1954. 112 pages + route map. Published 1993.

Vol 8: buses - beetle to bristols - the buses of Canterbury, 1904 - 1989. 197 pages. Published 1996.

Volumes 1-5 were jointly written and published by the Tramway Historical Society Inc (THS) and Christchurch Transport Board (CTB).

Authors: Marc Alexander (vols 1-4 & 7), Les Dew (vols 5-8); Note: vol 7 was jointly written by Marc & Les.

Volumes 6-8 were written by THS, and published by A & M Publishers following then demise of CTB following deregulation in 1991.

This auction is for the entire set of 8 books. All are soft cover, and approx A4 in size. All contain a large selection of black and white photos, volumes 7 & 8 also contain some colour photos.
