Description
LINE DOGGIE C Gadd Gadd, who served in Vietnam in late 1967 and 1968, had experiences very similar to what most enlisted men endured. He describes the mud, blood, leeches, loss of friends, and low morale due to constant harassment by guerrillas with less sanguine eagerness or coarse language than is often found in these personal memoirs.
But the combat descriptions still carry considerable punch, with woundings, firefights, bad orders and brutalities scattered throughout.
The author, a squad leader with the 101st Airborne, was wounded twice and saw nearly constant action in the Central Highlands. A vivid, accurate, and well-written description of the Vietnam War
Hard cover, small tear on d/j (see photo), good read condition, b&w photos throughout
