Description
This could be a great find if you are interested in New Zealand domestic history and Maori and Pacific food history.
Despite the name, it has more than just Maori recipes, it also has sections on Tahiti, New Caledonia, Samoa, Cook Islands, Tonga, Hawaii, Fiji and even Pitcairn Island cooking.
Very interesting collection of recipes, with an emphasis on fish, shellfish, banana, coconut and tropical fruits. From Banana Cream Pie to Red Snapper with Beer Batter and Toheroa Soup.
1977 book published by Glenfield College Home and School Association. The National Library has a copy. We don't think it was ever reprinted, so they are quite uncommon. 120 pages.
Excellent condition, we can't even find any food stains, except for the small stain on the front cover (see photo).
