The Stories of Ruth and Esther
A Raphael Tuck & Sons publication – not dated but states ‘Publishers to Her Majesty the Queen’ so definitely pre 1903. Designed at the Studios in England, printed at the Fine Art Works in Saxony. No 1762. Illustrated in colour by J. Lawson. 14 pages of text and pictures. 34cm x 24.5cm.
Thick card covers are rubbed on the edges and spine, top corner missing, other corners creased, covers are a bit dusty, spine and first 2 leaves held together with tape on the inside and contents have been re-sewn into the covers, middle double-page picture and one other illustration are peeled in places where they had been stuck together – still quite a good copy of an early Raphael Tuck book.
