Perfectly spaced welded wires, is bound with metal on all edges. The Metal Queen Excluder goes over the brood chamber in your hive and is meant to keep the queen out of the honey supers.
This is important because if the queen lays eggs in the honey supers, it makes it very hard to harvest clean honey.
The screen is designed to be too narrow for the queen to go through, but wide enough for the workers.
