If it comes to an off-grid system, the lead-carbon is one of the best choices. It is as reliable as any lead-acid battery; just much better in any aspect. It can cycle deeper, lives longer and can draw more Ampere than a same size Gel or AGM battery. If you are using it right - (I can advise you), this battery can live 20 to 25 years, even when daily cycled. These combined benefits makes a lead-carbon superior even to much more expensive lithium technology. For a 48V system - you can put 2x24V in a row. It works fantastically good. You can visit an operating system on request. I can help you with inverters, solar panels, rails and cables and refer to certified solar installers to get it compliant. A fully blown 48kWh 48V off-grid system would be possible from $25k.
