These lugs have two measurements: the first is the cable size in mm², and the second is the mounting hole (bolt) size. If you are unsure of the mm² size of your cable, measure the diameter of the copper part of the cable.

The diameter of the cable copper cores can be measured to calculate the CSA

CSA = (3.14 x d x d)/4 4.5mm dia = 16mm² CSA 5.6mm dia = 25mm² CSA 6.7mm dia = 35mm² CSA 8.0mm dia = 50mm² CSA 9.4mm dia = 70mm² CSA

The cable's outside diameter is approx. 16mm²=9mm OD 25mm²=12mm OD
35mm²=13mm OD
50mm²=15mm OD
70mm²=16mm OD

American wire gauge (AWG) cable sizes 4 = 21mm² 2 = 33mm² 1 = 42mm² 1/0 = 53mm² 2/0 = 67mm²

These lugs are made from copper and are solder-coated; they can be crimped or soldered. If you buy cable & lugs, crimping is at no extra cost, provided it is requested within 1 hour of purchase.
