Ping price adjustment - 2 December 2024
As we announced on 1 November 2024, this change came into effect on 2 December 2024.
1 November 2024Ping offers a quick, easy and secure way for buying and selling on Trade Me, and provides buyers with an additional layer of safety via our Buyer Protection policy (for transactions under $2,500).
We've also got your back with Seller Protection – if at any stage a fraudulent transaction has gone through Ping, you won't be left out of pocket and we'll bear the cost.
From 2 December 2024, the standard transaction fee for Ping will increase from 1.95% to 2.19%, and the transaction fee for Top Sellers will increase from 1.65% to 1.89%. The fee is automatically deducted from the purchase price (including shipping). Auctions created before 2 December 2024 but close on or after that date will be subject to the new fee.
To put this in context, for an item with a purchase price (including shipping) of $25.00, the standard transaction fee via Ping would increase by about 6 cents.
