How it works
Interview-ready Candidates is a results-based hiring product from Trade Me Jobs. Instead of paying for a job ad, you’re paying for what you want: results!
- Share the basics: Provide the job details and requirements.
- You define ‘interview-ready’: We’ll call you to define exactly what an ‘interview-ready candidate’ looks like for this role.
- Approve details: We draft the listing and job seeker requirements. You have two working days to review or amend, after which we’ll post the listing to Trade Me Jobs on your behalf.
- Passive outreach: We shoulder-tap passive talent with relevant skills and experience, and screen active applicants for you.
- Review applicants: We present Interview-ready Candidates who are interested in the role, and their relevant work history; you decide if you'd like to contact them.
- Every candidate you ‘accept’ counts towards the Interview-ready total. If you don’t respond in two working days, you will auto-accept the candidate, and we’ll pass on their details.
- You will contact all candidates you have accepted within three working days, regardless of whether their application is going to proceed further.
- Success-based billing: We’ll send an Invoice for $399 + GST after you accept four applicants we’ve delivered. No candidates, no invoice.
- Bonus extras: Any additional Interview-ready Candidates found during the 30-day listing are yours at no extra cost.
- Hire & close: You’ll let us know within three working days of filling the role so we can stop the search and save candidates' time.

Frequently asked questions
What if I don't like the candidates?
You can choose to discard any applications instead of accepting them and receiving applicants’ details. If we can’t deliver 4+ candidates you’d like to contact, you won’t be invoiced. It’s that simple.
How is an 'Interview-ready Candidate' defined?
We present applicants and their relevant work history; you decide if you'd like to receive their contact details. Every candidate you ‘accept’ counts towards the Interview-ready total.
- Skills match: They have the qualifications or experience required for your role.
- Verified intent: They have been briefed on your role and have confirmed their interest in the position.
- Accessibility: They are ready to be contacted and have agreed to have their details passed to you for an interview.
How and when do I pay?
Interview-ready Candidates is a results-based service.
- Zero upfront risk: There is no fee to initiate an Interview-ready Candidates listing.
- Invoicing: You’ll only be invoiced once we successfully deliver at least four Interview-ready Candidates that you’d like to contact, or you fill the role with an applicant we’ve provided.
What am I paying for?
You’re paying for the contact details of at least four Interview-ready applicants. We take the heavy lifting out of the early stages of recruitment—sourcing, initial outreach, and screening—so you only spend time talking to people who can actually do the job. A Trade Me Jobs listing is included.
How long does it take?
We’ll engage in recruitment for the role and pass on candidates for a maximum of 30 days. If we’re not able to find 4+ Interview-ready Candidates during that time, you won’t be invoiced.
