Property Awards Terms and Conditions

Acceptance of these terms & conditions: The Property Awards (Awards) are run by Trade Me Limited (Trade Me). By listing a property on Trade Me, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, and you are selected as a Winner, you may let Trade Me know and Trade Me will choose an alternative Winner. Trade Me reserves the right to vary, suspend or terminate these terms and conditions, the Awards or what is provided to Winners at any time, without notice to you.

1. Eligibility: Entry is only open to New Zealand residents who (i) are 18 years and over, (ii) have an active Trade Me membership and (iii) are real estate agents. Directors and staff of Trade Me, its related bodies corporate and any agencies or companies associated with Trade Me or the Awards are not eligible to enter.

2. Awards: The Awards are run as follows for each of the following calendar quarters: 1 July to 30 September; 1 October to 31 December; and 1 January to 31 March (each an Awards Period). Trade Me will also run annual awards at the end of June each year, with separate terms and conditions.

3. How to enter: To enter the Awards, you must have at least one live property listing on Trade Me Property during the relevant Awards Period (an Entry). Where you list a property jointly with another person, you will have one joint Entry. You will only be entered into the Awards once in each Awards Period.

4. Winners: There will be one winner for each Awards Period in each of the following regions: Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, Manawatū-Whanganui, Wellington, Nelson/Tasman, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago and Southland. Each winner (Winner) will receive a trophy and a three month Suburb Ownership campaign , on Trade Me Property in a suburb of their choice (value varies by suburb)(Campaign). If someone else has already selected or bought a Suburb Ownership campaign for the same suburb, the Winner will have to choose another suburb for their Campaign. Timing of the Campaign will be as notified by Trade Me to the Winner. The trophy will be delivered to the office of the Winner in person. Nothing provided to any Winner is transferable or redeemable for cash, and Trade Me may elect to offer an alternative prize at its discretion.

5. Winner notification and announcement: Trade Me will select as the Winner for each region the salesperson with the highest overall listing engagement in the Awards Period compared to the average listing engagement in the market in their region for that Awards Period. Overall listing engagement is calculated by combining total listing views and watchlist adds for properties listed by that person in the Quarter. The salesperson with the engagement percentage that is the highest compared to the market in that region will be the Winner for that region. Winners will be selected from eligible entries only. If a salesperson ceases being a real estate agent or changes which agency they work with, then they will no longer be eligible for that Awards Period. Winners will be notified in the second full week following the end of the relevant Awards Period. Trade Me reserves the right to select an alternative Winner if an initial Winner does not respond within 72 hours of notification. Trade Me’s decision regarding Winners is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

6. Publicity: Entrants agree that their name, job title, photo and a description of their award (if applicable) may be published on Trade Me’s social media, within email marketing, on Trade Me’s websites and in relation to future Awards related actitivies.

7. Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trade Me shall not be responsible for any loss, damage or injury whatsoever suffered by any Winner resulting from their entry into or winning of any Award (including but not limited to any direct, indirect, consequential, special, punitive or incidental loss or damages). Trade Me’s liability to any entrant or Winner will be limited in any circumstances to a maximum of $100.

8. Other terms: The Trade Me terms and conditions (as amended from time to time) apply with all necessary modifications to the Awards and any Campaign.

9. Privacy Act: Trade Me will collect and hold personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
