The 9 best bathroom renovation companies in Lower Hutt

Form and Dwell seem to be doing everything right. They provide a full service from design and project management to plans,consents, and supplying finishes. Their reviews are absolutely perfect with customers praising their attention to detail, thoughtful design. Despite the premium finishing, customers say the pricing was competitive with other providers. 

Take a look at their past projects to get an idea of the calibre of work they’re doing. 

Since opening in 2001 All About Kitchens and Bathrooms have only received 5 star reviews. They offer a full renovation service, from design to project management, and consenting. But  they don’t just do inside projects - they’ll makeover your entire home, from kitchens, to bathrooms, to decking and fencing. 

NZ Proud Builders should certainly be proud of their reviews, because they’re all perfect.These guys do the lot, from extensions, layout redesigns, and kitchen renos, to bathrooms, and full new builds.

BK Patterson are another Wellington builder and renovator with perfect reviews. They’ve been in the business for 35+ years, was started by a local couple, and is now run by their son Nic Patterson. Check out their incredible work on this Norfolk Street house.

West Beach is run by Ethan, a local licensed building practitioner who does renos, extensions, decking, and fencing. His reviews are all perfect, but one in particular shows how good Ethan is:

“We’ve got an 80’s style architecture that we wanted to retain, natural rimu timber and framing. He matched everything perfectly, it’s impossible to even tell that walls have been removed, replaced and reconstructed.”

Bathroom Solutions is one of few Lower Hutt companies who specialises in bathroom renovations and shower dome installation - they do not provide other construction services. They must be good at it because they’ve got all five star reviews.

GoPro is run by a team of young qualified plumbers and builders, and provides a full bathroom renovation service. They also advertise on their website that they’re happy to do small jobs, so they’re a great option if you want to replace a couple fittings or fix a shower (they’re also the only company we found who advertised rough pricing guidelines on their website, which is a promising sign if you're on a budget). 

Master Kitchens and Bathrooms employ a designer with a master of design degree, to design spaces that suit their client’s needs. They then offer full project management to execute their vision. These guys have great reviews and are an easy, hands-off option for your renos. 

Refresh Renovations Wellington are based in Porirua and service the wider Wellington area. They’re a part of a national reno chain and have 50 near perfect reviews for their services, with customers praising their quality of workmanship, and mentioning delivery on time, on budget. 

The only negative reviews they’ve got are a bit dubious so we reckon they could easily be much higher on this list!

Bathroom renovations in Upper Hutt and Wellington generally start at around $20,000 to $26,000 and go up to $100,000+ for full remodel. You may be able to spend less than that, but you’ll need to recycle fixtures and fittings, or buy second hand, and use the cheapest possible materials.
