This gown was donated to me to use in my dressmaking business where I often upcycle wedding dresses for customers. I couldn’t bear to cut into it though and would love to see it find a bride who’ll love it. Or maybe you’d like to use it as a base to re work it for yourself?

It is a size 16-18, here are the measurements - please check yours against it. It does have the lace up back meaning it’s a bit adjustable in the waist and especially the bust. If you would like to come and try it on ( Brooklyn, Wellington city) you are most welcome.

Bust - a larger cup size, full in the front, smaller across the back - 100-104 cm

Waist - 90-94 cm

Length from top centre of strapless bodice edge to hem down the centre of the gown - 133 cm.

It’s made from a warm ivory lovely quality satin - I think synthetic, with an organza overlay in the skirt with soft creamy - a hint of coffee coloured embroidery on it. I like the clean lines of this gown, and the dramatic look of the spilt revealing organza I lay in the back of the dress with a substantial but not over the top train. It has full netting layers in the skirts ( a built in petticoat) to give the skirt fullness.

The brand is Fiorenza, a high quality Australian brand. I’m happy to post this - no idea of cost yet, and pick ups are fine. The dress is in very good used condition, the loop for the bustle needs replacing and the loops you use to hang it up on the inside are coming out on one side- very minor fixes. It has some light grey marks on the train most likely from the ground but no other stains, has been stored well but a bit crumpled up so could do with a dry clean.
