So looks like there are 2 types of 18650s. One that blows up (aka terrorist cells) and the other that does not blow up. So as a consumer, all you need to do, is to pick the one that doesn't blow up right?

Well, yes and no.

Yes, we believe it would be a great start to acknowledge there are risk associating with lithium-ion batteries . But no, because while certain brands are more reliable than others, there isn't any brand out there that can guarantee their lithium-ion batteries would not misbehave. The essence is how you treat and handle them.

For Our Part - We test every single 18650 batteries that we sell. We take their voltage reading when they arrive in our warehouse and filter out any cells that are more dead than Apple's innovation. We then charge them up to 4v and truckle charge it to 4.18v. From there we immediate take another reading, and 2 further reading in 24 and 48 hours time to ensure they rest in their nominal voltage.

When we ship your purchase, they will be packed in a hard case inside a box for added protection, while sealed in air tight bag to avoid air moisture.

For Your Part - This is the important bit. You need to treat lithium-ion with respect (aka common sense). Do not over charge them (> 4.2v) and do not drain them out (< 3v). Use a quality charger that supports slow charging (0.5C to 1C is ideal) with auto termination at 4.2v or lower.

Lastly, please do not leave any 18650 in your charger over night. Once fully charged, they should be removed from the charger as soon as possible.

O yes, we forgot to say that our products are genuine. And that they are ideal for Led torches, headlamps, vaporiser bla bla bla. Or whatever you want to stick these into. That was just a joke, please do not do that.
