This mount adapter ring allows you to attach screw mount lenses to a Canon EOS camera body, It provides focus confirmation generation III. which functions with Canon EOS mount cameras including 5D Mk III, which earlier I and II generations would not suit. Also some Carl Zeiss Jena lenses. Super Takumar lenses because of the flange provided, which depresses their aperture pin and allows the aperture of the Takumar lens to be adjusted. With Focus confirmation, focus is indicated by a flash and a sound when it is achieved while the focusing ring is being rotated. However the visual signal varies in different cameras. Focus the lens in good light, on a high contrast part of the image . aperture will need to be set manually on the M42 lens and auto-exposure will then function. If lens does not have an aperture ring, maximum aperture will be utilised. Focusing to infinity and TTL flash metering is preserved with this adapter. Mount the M42 Lens in to the adapter, then mount them onto the Canon camera. Set the aperture on the lens, switch the camera on, choose any program from the Mode dial except shutter speed priority, focus the lens manually, and shoot.
