Allows magnification up to 7:1 whereas Macro lens only allows 1:1.

Can Mount any lens onto your camera. It works best with completely manual lenses which adjust focus and aperture manually. It does not need to be a Nikon lens. It is best to shoot with the reversed lens at maximum aperture or vignetting may occur if you stop down.

To Mount:

Mount the adapter into the bayonet.

Mount the reversed 67mm lens onto the adapter.

Then compose, focus manually, adjust shutter manually and shoot.

To adjust the aperture on an automatic AF lens (otherwise the aperture is at maximum diameter):

Attach lens as normally.

Adjust the lens in the camera menu to the desired aperture in the AV or M mode.

Press the DOF-Preview button and hold it pressed.

Detach the lens while still pressing the DOF button.

Insert the adapter then the lens.

Focus manually and take the photo.
