With the optional heart rate monitor, it displays beats per minute and more accurately calculates calories burned by incorporating heart rate into the calorie algorithm. It also downloads activities to your computer where they can be shared on Facebook and Twitter. It was an un-wanted birthday gift so sitting in a drawer un-used.
