A size that is often hard to locate - 0.25mm² Ferrules are ideal for CAT5 cable (solid or stranded) and provide for more reliable terminations where cable ends are connected into wiring terminals (screw or spring clamp types). For stranded wires, the ferrule helps ensure all strands are captured and contribute to the connection.

For both stranded and solid wires, the ferrule helps make a positive and reliable connection inside the terminal and the insulation on the ferrule helps guard against exposed wiring shorts external to the terminal.
