The experience is amazing! Ask Alexa for the news, weather, facts or even music.  Got smart home devices?  Ditch the phone app and ask Alexa to control them instead!   Alexa is your assistant that you just talk to, using the Echo from Amazon.    Imagine, in the kitchen you are baking and your hands are full, you can just ask "Alexa, how many teaspoons in a tablespoon?"    At the dining table.  "Alexa, play some smooth jazz"    Your kids are doing homework.  "Alexa, what's pi times 6.5?"  "Alexa, how long does a cow live"   You are planning a break.  "Alexa, what's the weather for Sydney over the next week?"    In the bedroom.  "Alexa, set an alarm for six thirty am every Wednesday"    And with smart devices, "Alexa, turn off the kitchen lights"   This product is imported from the US.  We have opened every box, replaced the US power supply with a NZ one (it’s the law!), then tested both the Echo and power supply.  We also have updated the Echo firmware so that you have a better experience getting setup.  After everything checks out, we factory reset the Echo, box it up again ready to post to you.   **NOTE!  Amazon does NOT yet officially support the Echo in NZ yet, only in US, UK and Germany.  Almost all functions work however, the only major caveat is that you have to specify the weather location (Cambridge New Zealand instead of Cambridge) when you ask.  Just remember to change the time zone so that the clock is correct. Also, because the Alexa app for iPhone and Android are not available in the NZ app stores, there are alternative methods to get it loaded which you will have to follow.   You will need: A. Wifi and internet connected at your house (and your Wifi password) B. An Amazon account in the US (amazon.com not amazon.com.au) C.
