Description
A short-wave transmitter and receiver, both operating with a loop, combined in one set, which, with generator and other equipment, weighs only 65 pounds. (Radio News for November 1931).
This equipment has been methodically restored and comes complete, except for high impedance headphones. A small audio transformer would enable ordinary earpieces to substitute. Anyone may purchase as the transmitter has been disabled thus ensuring compliance with N Z Regulations.
The receiver requires: 45volts HT for the 3 tubes, and 4.5volts for the filaments. (A battery eliminator can be made available but at additional cost.)
The (disabled) transmitter (a single 801 tube) required strong arms to crank the generator and a third hand to work the Morse Key.
Spare tubes (very scarce) are available, and included for a "Buy Now".
