Donning six-inch heavy armor and more guns than you can shake a rather large shell at, World Destruction League: Thunder Tanks is the future's ultimate in spectacle entertainment. It's an over the top battle-tournament where the contenders fight it out using tanks. Broadcast on television throughout a post-apocalyptic society, the tournament take place in battle-stages at famous locations all around the world including Red Square and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. With nine monstrous tanks, each with its own devastating abilities, and nine ferocious competitors, WDL also offers commentary by two outrageous announcers, eight different match types for competitive play, and four-player split-screen mayhem.

However, the main reason to own this game is for its multiplayer capabilities. While the feature set is pretty much the same as the single player mode, the game's fun factor just goes through the roof when you're blowing up tanks controlled by your friends instead of the computer. The action is always fast and furious and with the wide variety of maps, tanks, multiplayer game objectives and the ability to team up with friends or just have a free-for-all, the game's multiplayer play value is almost without limit.
