'The most beautiful Final Fantasy game yet is an imperfect but still impressive saga that will touch your heart. 8.5/10!' - Gamespot

Final Fantasy XIII is one of the most visually breathtaking and narratively ambitious JRPGs ever released on Xbox 360 - and one of the most debated entries in the entire Final Fantasy series. Bold, cinematic, and unlike anything that came before it, this is a game that demands patience but rewards those who stick with it.

Set across the floating cityworld of Cocoon and the savage wilderness of Pulse, the story follows Lightning - a fierce and determined soldier - alongside a diverse cast of companions who are branded as enemies of humanity and hunted by the very society they once protected. The narrative is rich, emotional, and packed with lore, delivered through some of the most stunning cutscenes and in-engine cinematics ever produced for a console game. The orchestral and electronic soundtrack is equally extraordinary - widely praised as one of the finest in the series' history.

The evolved Active Time Battle system is the heart of the gameplay - fast, strategic, and deeply satisfying once it opens up. The key is the Paradigm system, letting you instantly swap your party's roles between combat classes - commando, ravager, medic, saboteur, and more - on the fly to adapt to each encounter. Building the stagger meter on enemies to unleash devastating damage bursts gives every major fight a thrilling rhythm and momentum. The Crystarium progression system lets you develop your characters across their various roles at your own pace.

It's worth noting the game is famously linear for its first 20 or so hours before opening up considerably - a sticking point for some players, but those who push through are rewarded with a sprawling, content-rich adventure that runs 50 hours or more.
