Description
An antique "Promise Box," containing small rolled papers with Bible verses inside. These boxes were popular in the early 20th century. It contains a selection of "Precious Promises from the Word of God". The verses are printed on small scrolls of paper. Users would randomly select a verse, believing it would apply to their life. The box may have originally included tweezers for retrieving the scrolls. It was likely made early 20th century.
Made out of cardboard with padded floral top.
