WONDERFUL VINTAGE Landscape OIL PAINTING by the New Zealand ARTIST H. W. BURGE

We are delighted to offer a wonderful Oil Landscape Painting signed by the New Zealand Artist H. W. Burge, showcasing amazing peaceful Scenary of New Zealand picturesque terrain: a little Farmhouse by the Lake surrownded by Mountains - Scene in Greeny, Blue and Grayish tones, originally framed Oil on board, circa 1960s.

Measurements: W 45cm, H 33cm.

According to open sources, H. W. Burge was a New Zealand artist known primarily for landscape oil paintings. The artist's works occasionally appear for sale at New Zealand auction houses – the latest one ("Hill top view Waimarama”) has been recently sold in September 2025 by the Rata Auctions in Havelock North.

While details on H. W. Burge are limited in public records, other members of the Burge family were notable artists, including: Maude Burge (1865-1957), prominent New Zealand painter, active from the late 19th to mid-20th century; George A. Burge (20th Century, working 1930s-1940s), a New Zealand watercolourist; Elaine Burge (b. 1929), an Australian artist with works in the University of Melbourne Art Collection; Victoria Burge (b. 1976), New York-born contemporary artist with works in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the British Museum, etc.
