This is very solid mostly wooden hutch dresser, think it's pine. I have painted it with Annie Sloane (the best chalk paint on the market) in Versailles, which is a lovely shade of beige, a beautiful take on neutral. I've replaced the handles the white ones are ceramic and topped with layers of high quality Annie Sloane wax. A very useful piece of furniture would look great in many rooms in your house, I personally have 4 hutches in mine.
