Description
Cornus sericea flaviramea Yellow Twig is valued for its bright yellow stems in winter which give a wonderful backdrop to winter gardens. In summer it has attractive mid-green leaves and white flowers similar to some viburnum. Leafless May-September.
These make dramatic winter landscape plants. Very eye catching. In summer, they are leaved and bushy. Easy to grow. Grows to about 1.5-1.8 m tall when mature. Trim back hard before spring to keep the bush in shape. They prefer part shade and can be grown in full sun. They do best in a site that never fully dries out, but do well just about anywhere.
