1972 Volkswagen Kombi LHD camper

1972 VW Kombi camper LHD German assembled. Spent time in US till 1st registered in NZ 1980 I fell for Molly 8 1/2 years ago. This van has taken us on countless trips. Favourite memory was a family Xmas day spent parked up on the dunes overlooking Mt Maunganui beach. The joy of freedom this van has given is immeasurable. Genuine reason for selling. Parting with it will be hard. She is my daily runner Starts first time. Even on a frosty morning. I've recently moved to Nelson. Before departing the BOP the old engine broke the crank. Was running an 1800 with twin carbs. Paul at V-DUB SHOPPE in Ngaruawahia rebuilt the engine with a 2 litre long block and using the 1800 twin carb heads gave me an upgrade. I should've done it years ago. Runs like a dream. Was a joy driving it down from Waikato through to Coromandel and on down to Nelson. She loved it and I loved it. Thank you Paul. Sleeps 4 (two up top and 2 below) We've slept 4 adults but would be perfect for a family with children. Vans like this are fun anywhere you go. Great pop-up system. I haven't seen another like it. Easy to put up and pull down. Strong canvas sides which protect you better from the wind and cold. Canvas zips down on 3 sides as seen in the photos. Full height standing with the roof up is 6ft 5in 1.95m. 2 burner gas cooker (toaster / oven) Works well Swing up table. Plenty of storage. Sink cupboards, above bed, under back seat. Seat has 2 over shoulder seat belts in the back although I've kept the bed made up for years. Helped as a spare room many times. Plus my own portable airbnb when I go out. Towbar for the bikes New muffler 2 new tyres new engine seal, rear hatch/tailgate seal Replaced gear shifter/lever Clutch cable Hood lining in cab New headlights Has a sun shade attachment as shown in photo. Comes with a bag full of spares. She's been on the front cover of a business calander.
