J & H McLaren 125th Anniversay Rally
This DVD is of a rally held on Gavin & Wendy Calder's property at HaIkett, west of Christchurch - on the Canterbury plains - to celebrate 125 years since John & Henry McLaren sent out their Midland Works engine No.1 of 12 HP on the 20th March 1877. This video records for all time the greatest gathering of McLaren Traction Engines in New Zealand for many years. All other makes of Traction Engines are featured too. With engines coming to the event from all over New Zealand, and people coming from England to be part of it all, the sterling merits of McLaren engines are well recognized.
