Optimus & Colossal, also known as the Misfits Of Science, have risen through the ranks of New Zealand's Hip-Hop at full speed. Their debut single "Fools Love" spent a whole month at number one, and of course had fans demanding more.

The huge anticipation of this release is completely justified, this is fun and funky commercial Hip-Hop release you really can't help but tap a foot to, and the sort of music that doesn't take a sharp sense of the absurd for granted.

Track titles like "Kiddie Fiddlin" and "Attack Of The Dickriders" give you some idea of this crews blueprint, catchy beats matched against tight raps, and held together by the need to have a good old laugh. "Catch Up" and "Trailblazers" shows another hand, with the duo just as capable of holding down banging club rap, and showing a diversity you'd normally associate with more established artists. Opener "Look At Em" and "Three Days Of The Blender" also display some superb beat craftmanship, pushing the outer reaches of just what Hip-Hop is.

The Misfits laidback and relaxed attitude comes to the fore throughout, and makes this an album to enjoy in any situation. Yet another jewel in New Zealand Hip-Hop's crown, this has hit record written all over it.
