SOUPED UP BEGINNER KIT.

ASTRO beginner kit. These are around $750 new and the original price point on the upgraded cymbals was $700 plus also. The kit came with nasty ass skins that made them sound like toys and the cymbals it came with honestly dont deserve description. This is an entry level kit that I've souped up in order to make a beginner want to keep playing. I teach 60 odd drummers of different levels every week and I've played and taught professionally for 35+ years. Many of the entry level kits have perfectly decent shells but then they spoil them by putting low budget skins on them and then sell them with cymbals that sound bad enough to quickly put a beginner off. This kit is in very good condition as per the photos and I've made it completely functional in every important way. It's got bronze, (not brass), 14" Alchemy hi hats and 20" Alchemy ride with a bronze Meinl Raker crash all of which are a completely different level than the thin and easily damaged disposable plates these kits come with. The hats are the thing a beginner hits by far the most. When they sound crap the player never lasts. These sound fantastic by comparison. A bronze crash with a cutout will beat a spun brass cymbal any day. The batter heads are all upgraded to new or very near new proper quality remo heads. Bass head is a brand new clear ambassador as are the mounted toms. Snare and floor are near new. The whole kit is tuned and ready to play. It includes the stool and sticks. If you don't live too far, I'll deliver and set it up for you free. Only doing $1 reserve because it has to go. The retail on kit and hihats alone is over $1k. Too many kits left over from a show that had 20 drum kits being played at once.
