Description
In good going condition. This classic old-school rack processor is a favorite of The Edge (U2) and one still resides in his rig today. The SDD-2000 Sampling Delay was one of those great early digital fx processors all the Japanese gear manufacturers churned out in the 80's using the newly arrived affordable chips the 80's ushered in. The first wave of Japanese delays featured usualy 500-1000ms delay time often with a 'Hold' feature which simply captured the recorded sound in the delay and held it there so it could loop or possibly be retriggered from a button.. This feature for example was found on the early Ibanez delays - beyond that these early sampling delays didn't do much, but the SDD-2000 and other delays of this ilk came along soon after offering greater delay times, midi control, and more ability to do something with the sampled sound once captured.
