Up for auction here is the Dexter Mods Peace and Quiet Mod kit for the Boss GE-7, GE-7 B and Daphon E20GE (clone of the old version Boss GE-7) with a free installation. This auction does not include the pedal.

I've been doing the Peace and Quiet mods on the Boss GE-7 for some time now and have many happy clients who are thrilled with the lower noise and higher fidelity mods that make up the PQ-EQ.

The GE-7 was the second pedal I bought when starting up with the guitar. I found it fine for mucking around but as soon as I stared recording I knew it had problems.

The stock GE-7 is just too noisy to use in a serious situation. The heart of the problem is the op amps and the low quality capacitors used in the stock mass produced version of the pedal.

The Dexter Mods Peace and Quiet EQ mod installs new low noise op amps in sockets and replaces several capacitors with high quality parts. A few more well placed tweaks to the circuit and the pedal is now ready for use, live or in the studio.

I've seen other mods on offer for the GE-7 where only the op amps are changed. This half-pie mod is often done on the older ACA powered GE-7s but if you are considering such a mod beware, the op amp only mod seriously under performs compared to the Dexter Mods version which includes several high fidelity tweaks as well. Remember, you only get what you pay for, if you are lucky.

The mod includes an extra bright blue LED and a brand new 9 volt battery.
