Description
The rare and lush-sounding Pearl analog delay from the late '70s / early '80s.
The Pearl AD-08 was an analog delay released by Pearl (yes; the drum people!) and is part of the Sound Spice series. Pearl pedals were built in Japan by a company called KLM (much like Ibanez pedals were built by Maxon) and were engineered to include some very innovative features for this era.
The AD-08 features delay times from 20ms to 400ms.
One interesting difference between this vintage delay and others is the individual controls for the level of the 'dry out' and 'delay out' rather than a wet/dry mix pot.
I bought this pedal second hand in the USA in 2009. It's a cool looking and sounding pedal, but I've finally been selling off a bunch of music equipment of late that I simply don't use; this being such an item.
I've five delay pedals and only currently use a pedal chain that's five pedals-strong, so off it goes for someone else to enjoy.
The pedal's in medium physical condition and is missing the battery cover (which doesn't detract from the functioning of the pedal at all as it should only really be played using a 9V AC/DC adapter anyway).
The pedal comes stand-alone without the original box, but it'll be well packaged if required to post outside of Christchurch.
