This auction is for a "Pure Hendrix" upgrade kit with free installation by McPherson Stompboxes.

This upgrade kit is compatible with most Dunlop Crybaby or Vox wah pedals.

The expressive, vocal wah tone Hendrix was known for is not possible with many of todays wah pedals. Even his current "Signature Wah" the JH-1 only really gets you in the ballpark.

Our "Pure Hendrix" conversion upgrade overhauls your wah to achieve a far more convincing "Voodoo Chile" tone.

First we convert your wah's circuit to the same spec's as today JH-1 Hendrix signature wah pedal.

Next the transistors are removed and replaced with vintage "metal can" BC109's. This really helps sweeten up the top end along with a little more throaty rawness. The first stage is then biased slightly hotter than todays JH-1 to slightly increase low end response, output and vocality.

The last few tweaks increase the wah's vocal, vowel like qualities for a very expressive tone.
