This auction is for a pair of vintage 1950's Crown Devon Fieldings tennis / hostess sets (no. A427) in lovely condition.
A dainty duo, designed to serve a sandwich or biscuit alongside a cup of tea, are coloured pastel green and yellow, with gilding to the rims and handle that is in near perfect condition, showing little (if any) signs of use.
There is a bit of glaze crazing, consistent with age, and the yellow saucer has a tiny crack (per pic) which is difficult to spot. There are no chips or staining. Overall, a great example for its era.
The hostess plate measures about 20cm (L) x 15cm (W), the cup measures about 7cm (H) x 8cm (W).
Item can be collected from Epsom, Auckland or shipping costs for North and South Islands are provided.
