Description
Sought after by collectors, this wee Bairnesfather milk jug features a scene of a soldier berating a mate that if he doesn't like it, to find his own hole. An early attempt at black humour to help with morale for the families of soldiers fighting in the so-called 'great' war.
Jug stands 83mm high and is in overall very good condition, although being cheaply made it is unfortunately missing a few small patches of glaze. But there are no chips, cracks or other damage and the gold leaf lining the rim is mostly intact.
Please examine the photos accompanying the auction carefully as they form part of the item's description.
There is no "Buy Now" option as I'd prefer to let the auction run its course to give everyone a fair chance at getting something great :-)
