Description
This is a covered vegetable dish from the 1930-40s. It is in the typical for the era, colours of orange, cream and has a several fine silver stripes around the top.
It is stamped with the Creampetal mark of Grindley England.
The bottom has an old chip in the edge of the bowl, see photograph 2, and some glazing and firing faults on the bottom of the rim.
The lid has a hairline near the handle, you can see it on photogrpah 4 below the RH edge of the knob at about 4 o'clock.
Despite these it is still an elegant and useful piece of crockery.
