Vintage Royal Doulton “Welsh Ladies” Bowl D2717

We offer today a rare Royal Doulton bowl, featuring a group of Welsh Ladies (and children) in traditional gowns in the Welsh countryside on the way to church.

This vintage bowl measures about 25 cm across and about 9 cm on height.

We offer it in a good used vintage condition. It has some attractive underglaze crazing, commensurate with its age and use and adding to its attraction. It also has some usage marks and some faint hairline cracks around the edge. This is reflected in the lowered reserve.

Still, this vintage plate displays very well indeed and would make a useful addition to any collection. This interesting plate has the vintage Royal Doulton markings at its base, and model number D2717.
