Description
A beautiful Royal Doulton "Poppies" plate in the rarer blue colour way. Design number D3227.
Measures 9.5 inches or 24cm. The markings on the back indicate this plate was made in June 1911.
The plate is in excellent, as new condition with no chips, cracks or crackling to the glaze. It is very rare to find these plates without some crackling on them.
This looked stunning displayed against the native timber wood panelling in my previous Arts and Crafts era home but I have downsized and don't have room for all my treasures.
I will be listing more Doulton Poppies in the other colour ways.
