A stunning, bold Cake Plate by Shelley from their Harmony range. The plate is basically square, c210mm x210mm, with the corners cut off. It is decorated in green colours, light and dark, that look to have been added whilst the plate is spinning on its centre. The plate has a hole in its centre and comes with an Art Deco handle. The Chrome on the handle is wearing in places, but the plate is in excellent condition. A wonderful example of the amazing finishes attained by Shelley during the 1930s and produced in their Harmony range. A must for any serious Shelley collector or an Art deco fan.
