It serves as a text for the Instrument Pilot Instructor School and Undergraduate Pilot Training and is issued to all USAF pilots on flying status. Since aircraft flight instrumentation and mission objectives are so varied, this manual is necessarily general regarding equipment and detailed accomplishment of maneuvers.
