Sintered compound is produced by melting copper strands/chunks using flux and pressure. The end result is a solid mass of copper, with a semi-porous nature (with friction modulators like graphite remaining in the pores).

Sintered compound is aggressive, extremely fade-resistant, and highly durable. It performs extremely well in wet conditions. The initial bite is firm/abrupt. The potential downsides are higher rotor/caliper wear due to higher heat, a need to bleed/service brakes more frequently as fluid cooks faster, and a tendency to be very loud (squeal).

For most riders, my semi-metallic pads work extremely well and are likely preferable to metallic or sintered pads - check my other listings. Questions welcome if you're not sure what to get!
