Museum Quality 1991 Colnago Master Olympic! This Colnago's frame was produced using Tango steel during the 1 year that Colnago had a falling-out with Columbus, their usual steel tubing supplier. Tange is an arguably superior steel product & used in high end frames by premium bike brands. It was seamless tube, cold drawn, butted (thinner in the middle) & heat treated (building greater strength around the welds). The Tange Ultimate Superlight as used in this short period by Colnago is only one reason this bike is very special.

Let's go through the list:

1. Presented in museum quality condition - it has been hanging on my wall as an artwork for over a decade. If you were transported back 25 years, looking to purchase a Colnago that's had less than a dozen rides, this is what you would be looking at
2. Striking airbrushing has been applied to the diamond shaped tubing & is in excellent condition other than an area where there is some paint missing on the right seat stay (see pic) - cause is unknown, but the chrome is unmarked
3. Mavic ceramic wheels with original stickers in place & original tyres
4. Black lever hoods are in mint condition
5. Pair of period bottle cages
6. Campagnolo group set (I don't know the level) & brakes, bottom bracket, headset bearings, gears, shifters, hubs, seat post & levers are all Campagnolo
7. 3TTT (made for Colnago) stem, but the metal has a small bloom in it (see pic)
8. Colnago logos in the fork & frame lugs & Colnago signatures (see pics)

PLEASE NOTE - the red Colnago tape is not original. The new seat & pedal were added for me to ride it but I have the original seat & pedals. The seat in particular is a beautifully sculpted, dark brown leather, domed & in mint condition. These 2 items are in deep storage while we build our new house. I can promise the new owner will receive these when we unpack in early 2018
