The Mustad 39975 E-Z Baiter Cod and Grouper Circle Hook is originally designed for commercial fishing but have proven to be a great tool for the sport fisherman targeting bottom species. To take advantage of its unique hooking abilities it's important to tie the trace correctly to the hook so the line always exits the eye on the barb side. Otherwise the hook will fail to self-set in the corner of the fish's mouth.

The E-Z Baiter Circle Hook is excellent for deep-sea fishing where you might not feel the first tug at your bait by a fish deep underneath the boat. The "MTL-V1" point combines a more efficient point design with a new sharpening process to enhance the quality. The result is a sharper, sleek new point shape with penetration resistance 50% lower than standard Classic Hook points! The hook has a kirbed hook point for improved hooking potential and Duratin coating for high corrosion resistance.
