Questions often asked:

"How come you dont run a speed controller?"

Answer: Speed reduction through a controller effectively reduces voltage to the motor through Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) reducing speed AND torque, this is not what you want. Other downsides are increased heat. Also a speed controller will destroy itself if a heavy constant load is being dragged in.

When using a speed controller a fuse must be used to not only attempt to give overload protection to the PWM electronics but also to protect against reverse battery connection, this is not a problem with our winch, if the battery is connected wrong the worse that will happen is the motor will run backwards!

Our winch will give you 100% available torque 100% of the time.
