THE STORY:

Being a passionate skater since the 70s, I wanted to create a new skateboarding experience to enhance the ride and reinvent skateboarding as we know it.

I hand picked each water ski and carefully restored and refurbished each piece to make them a mean board to ride or hang in your home.

I made 200 in total, each individually numbered with no two being the same.

These boards were branded with the name Lukey16. Lukey16 was launched at Matchbox on Karangahape Road in Auckland.

ON OFFER:

There are 70 boards remaining. 6 are fully set up and ready to ride as skateboards. The remainder are all fully refurbished complete with grip tape and carefully drilled holes. They can be converted to a skateboard with your own hand-picked hardware or used as an art piece on the wall or in the garden.

Each board is iconic in its own way. Due to the difference in styles, some have additional features such as unique, hand-painted artwork or car emblems.

LOGISTICS:

All boards are individually wrapped and ready for transport.

The 6 fully made up boards have a retail price of $3,000 alone. This means the remainder of completed decks would be only $8 each (the retail price for each is between $100-$150).

Cost price for what you are bidding on is close to $10,000. Retail would be at your discretion. Advice can be offered to the successful bidder.

Pickup from Gisborne is the preferred option. Transport may be arranged at the buyers expense.
