Now , I could not get the exact colour no matter how many photos I took. The body is dark Cobalt blue with a mid brown handle and collar under the lid. . The decorations are more of a darkish yellow than the photos may indicate. Best I can do. None the less , an impressive West German item in cabinet order with a flip pewter top.No chips cracks or damage. The Pewter top is marked ECHT ZINN which is a pewter manufacturers Trade mark and may refer only to the metal; part of the jug. The Jug does not have any specific brand but my guess ,based on a number of factors is Marzi & Remy who were known for this type of ornamented pottery .
