Rare Antique Nathan-Dohrmann San Francisco Portrait Cup - Silver Overlay & Lustre 10 x 6 cm
A exquisite example of early 20th-century luxury porcelain. This teacup and saucer set was commissioned by the famous Nathan-Dohrmann Co. of San Francisco (est. 1850), the premier purveyor of fine goods for California’s elite.
Hand-Painted Portrait: Features a beautiful miniature of a French noblewoman.
Lustre Glaze: The porcelain has a stunning pearlescent/iridescent finish.
Detailed Silver Overlay: Ornate dark metallic filigree wraps the cup and saucer - does have some wear.
Hand-Signed Base: Authentically hand-marked "Nathan Dohrmann & Co San Francisco" in iron-red script.
Excellent antique condition with no chips. Does have some wear.
This is a museum-quality cabinet piece. You rarely find Nathan-Dohrmann pieces in New Zealand, let alone one with this level of decorative detail.
